CanopyNet is an integrated under-canopy communication and operations platform designed to enable full digital transformation of plantations. It combines a long-range, self-healing mesh network with a cloud-enabled management platform that provides real-time visibility, control, and analytics across large plantation areas.
The hardware layer consists of Base Station Nodes, Mesh Nodes, and Mobile Transceiver Units mounted on vehicles or machinery. These devices establish stable connectivity in matured palm oil fields where satellite and conventional networks fail. The mesh protocol supports long-range communication, encrypted data transmission, and dynamic routing in harsh environments.
Above the hardware, the CanopyNet Platform functions as the central operations dashboard. It provides real-time tracking of machinery, teleoperation support, activity logs, alerts, fuel usage monitoring, and integration with IoT sensors. The platform enables plantation managers to monitor field operations, analyze productivity, detect issues early, and make data-driven decisions.
Key benefits includes improved operational efficiency, reduced dependency on manual labor, enhanced machinery utilization, better safety, and lower infrastructure cost compared to building telco towers. The combined hardware–software solution forms a scalable backbone for automation, mechanization, and AI adoption.
Target users include: MPOB, plantation groups, Agri-technology integrators, machinery manufacturers, and IoT solution providers who require reliable under-canopy connectivity paired with a real-time operational platform. CanopyNet is already demonstrated in real plantations and is positioned to become a national standard for digital plantation connectivity.
