Animal farming is crucial to the global food supply, making animal feeds essential. In Malaysia, chickens are the top meat source, producing significant waste. Bio Metro Fusion addresses this by converting byproducts into high-protein, digestible animal feed, helping reduce environmental pollution. With Malaysia importing RM7.8 billion worth of animal feed ingredients, our product stands out for its price, availability, and versatility for local feed millers. Bio Metro Fusion was established on May 9, 1996, by Mr. Yeo Liek Seng and Mr. Yeo Liek Kiang, with a paid-up capital of RM1,850,000. We operate in a 2-acre building on 4 acres of land in Bukit Pasir, Muar, Johor. Since 2012, we have focused on R&D to develop a cost-effective alternative protein for the animal feed industry. We have invested over RM10 million in setting up our facility and conducting R&D and business activities. Our technology focuses on converting non-digestible poultry feathers into high-crude, highly digestible animal feed protein. We break down the thought keratin molecules into digestible proteins using machinery and methods without chemicals, resulting in pure feather meal protein. The process will be further enhanced by reducing the moisture content below 5% to prevent bacteria growth and prolong the shelf life. Key highlights of Bio Metro Fusion’s project include: • Local technology for high crude and high digestibility protein. • The most affordable digestible crude protein in the market. • Achieved 99% protein digestibility for Tilapia using in vitro test conducted by MARDI • 2 patents and 1 trademark involved in this project. • Support and recognition from government agencies. • Collaboration with MARDI and the Fishery Research Institute. • Achieved pioneer status in 2017.
Poultry is the biggest meat industry in Malaysia. Having the processing plant across Malaysia, feathers are available to be process into our product.
Feather are known to have insoluble keratin bond leaving it in its original state less usable. Many of the feathers were discarded in a landfill.
With high crude protein and high digestibility, it is the cheapest protien for animal feed ingredient.
Various test have been done by FRI, MARDI and feed millers
It can be use to make various animal feed including shrimp/prawn feed which does not require high ash. It also can be use in dairy cow diet to increase the milk production.
