The MY-X100100-SViB baggage screening system integrates transmission and backscatter imaging in a single-source, photon-counting X-ray architecture, eliminating the need for multiple X-ray sources. This reduces hardware complexity, lowers energy consumption, and enables a compact, reliable solution. 100 cm × 100 cm tunnel supports screening of bigger baggage and parcels. The backscatter detector is highly sensitive to organic substances, supporting detection even when targets are stacked with metals or other inorganic materials. The system delivers high-definition images that improve recognition and operator decision-making, enhanced by Super Resolution processing. The Single View + Backscatter configuration forms two images per scan: Top-view Transmission and Backscatter image.

The backscatter detector with photon counting technology, detects from the same X-ray source as the transmission detector—unlike conventional backscatter technologies such as Compton scattering, which require a separate, dedicated source. This design eliminates the need for an additional X-ray source, reduces power consumption, and delivers a compact, cost-efficient baggage screening solution.
The backscatter detector is sensitive to low-atomic-number (organic) materials, enabling the detection of organic substances even when they are stacked or covered with inorganic items or metallic objects. Unlike conventional imaging where metals hide the detail of organic materials, backscatter imaging highlights low-atomic materials, ensuring organic threats are detected.
Raw image data from detectors is small, noisy, and low in quality due to the limited size of the original image. Therefore we implemented Super Resolution technology to enhance image quality and resolution, producing sharper image. This improvement allows operators to identify details of organic materials more effectively.
