BRIEF TECHNOLOGY Peritocare provides an innovative solution with a portable peritoneal dialysis system designed to offer freedom and improve patients’ quality of life. This machine is lightweight, easy to carry, and equipped with Internet of Things (IoT) technology, allowing data to be monitored in real-time by hospitals. This not only simplifies treatment management for patients but also reduces the risk of infection with its user-friendly design INSPIRATION OF THE INVENTION The inspiration for Peritocare came from the need to improve the quality of life for chronic kidney disease patients, who often face restrictions due to traditional dialysis methods. PROBLEM STATEMENT & CURRENT ISSUES Traditional peritoneal dialysis presents significant challenges for chronic kidney disease patients, primarily due to the restrictions it imposes on their mobility and independence. Patients are often tied to a machine for several hours each day, disrupting their daily lives and limiting their ability to work, engage in social activities, and maintain a normal routine. This inconvenience is compounded by the high risk of infection, such as peritonitis, which requires strict hygiene protocols that can be difficult to maintain consistently. Additionally, patients in rural or remote areas face accessibility challenges, making it harder for them to receive regular treatment. As the number of CKD patients continues to rise, these issues also place an increasing burden on healthcare facilities, making it difficult to provide adequate care for everyone in need.

The system is portable, weighing less than 2kg, allowing patient's mobility during dialysis. The unit comes with its own connectivity and dialysate system, suitable for mobile peritoneal dialysis.
The prescription and monitoring is done by doctors remotely, allowing real-time monitoring of patients from doctor's office.
Unlike traditional dialysis system, PeritoCare can detect occlusion, flowrate, bubble in system and infection (peritonitis) in patients.
