The Street Light Monitoring System (SELMOS) is made by Sena Traffic Systems for remote monitoring and control of municipalities street light lanterns. Aimed at better power consumption of city street light system especially in supporting SDG-11: Sustainable Cities and Communities. The solution provides state of the art technology Internet of Things (IoT) adoption by utilizing ZigBee network coupled with web-based dashboard view for control, monitoring and reporting.
Utilizing the IoT piece, ZigBee, as a medium for on-the-ground data transfer between street light lanterns. It provides low power consumption and redundant hopping data packets which ensures the network is stable despite deployed in metropolitan area-a feat usually proves challenging to IoT deployments.
We introduces a proprietary ZigBee network and data protocol specializing in street light monitoring. Our network is bullet-proof against stray data packets.
One of our boast features are 10 step dimming for LED lanterns, providing municipalities the choice to reduce brightness of street lights and targeted area.
The web-based dashboard view is secured with user and password log-in. Users may view current status of individual street light on an expanse map with related condition such as Live, Power-Cut or Accident Pole. Reports can be generated daily to monitor number of Ons and Offs each night. Each nodes on the map included a link to the location. Dimming features can be done individually to nodes or a group of nodes via a timetable web-page.
