1. Applications for the MySTI certification and logo marking are open to all Companies/ Businesses/ Organizations/ Cooperatives/ Associations registered with the relevant authority in accordance with the applicable regulations.
2. The product or service must be developed through local R&D activities, with at least one component filed or registered under Intellectual Property protection, or developed by at least one (1) Malaysian entity or individual, as evidenced by the following documents:
3. A Filing Certificate or Registration Certificate of Intellectual Property such as Patent, Utility Innovation, Industrial Design, Copyright, Layout Design of Integrated Circuit, or Trademark from MyIPO; and/or
4. A valid Licensing Agreement or Partnership Agreement with the Intellectual Property owner.
5. The product or service must be ready for commercialization and must have reached TRL 9.
1. Applicants are required to complete the Invention Disclosure Form as provided in Appendix A, which is available in the application form. The product or service must be developed through local R&D activities by at least one (1) Malaysian entity or individual.
2. If the applicant only holds a Trademark Registration Certificate from MyIPO, the applicant is still required to complete the Invention Disclosure Form.
The MySTI logo marking is awarded to products and services, not to companies. Therefore, if an applicant has more than one product with different variants and functions, a separate application must be submitted for each product.
1. Once the application is submitted, the Secretariat will appoint an Analyst to process it. The Analyst will only contact the applicant if additional documents or specific clarifications are required.
2. The Analyst may contact the applicant via email, phone call, or WhatsApp, based on the contact information provided during the application process.
The MySTI certificate is valid for three (3) years from the date of approval.
1. Products and services that have been granted the MySTI logo marking will receive an additional 10% special score during the screening process in government procurement, based on Treasury Circular 1.4 issued by the Ministry of Finance (MoF).

1. Generally, the processing time for an application is 30 days once it is complete with all required documents.
2. However, this timeframe is highly dependent on factors such as the frequency of the logo marking panel meetings, the monthly volume of applications, and other matters that may cause delays.
1. Any feedback or decisions made by the evaluation panel during the MySTI Logo Marking Meeting will be updated by the Secretariat in the system, and notifications will be automatically sent to the applicant's registered email.
2. The certificate and MySTI logo marking guidelines can be downloaded through the applicant's registered account on the MySTI portal used during the initial application.
1. Yes. Reapplication is allowed following the same process as the initial application.
2. However, applicants are advised to consult the Secretariat beforehand to ensure that the issues or reasons for rejection in the first application have been properly addressed.
The application must be made by the company currently owning the product or service. However, the applicant must also submit valid documentation proving that a technology transfer has taken place between the applicant company and the original developer or owner of the product or service. Such documentation includes a Licensing Agreement.
