PumpSense is an IoT-enabled flood pump house monitoring system designed to provide real-time visibility of critical pump house conditions and enable faster operational response. The system continuously monitors pump operating status, sump and drainage water levels, electrical parameters, and unauthorised access to control panels or pump house facilities.
Field sensors are connected to an IP65 IoT control panel equipped with PLC I/O, an industrial gateway, relay interfaces, and 4G LTE or Ethernet communication. Operational data is transmitted to a centralised cloud dashboard, allowing authorised personnel to monitor multiple sites, review event histories, generate reports, and assess pump readiness remotely.
When abnormal conditions occur—such as pump trips, high water levels, sump overflow, power issues, float switch changes, or unauthorised door opening—the system automatically sends WhatsApp notifications to the designated operational team. This helps reduce reliance on manual inspections and enables earlier intervention before conditions escalate into flooding or equipment failure.
The project scope includes system design, hardware supply, sensor and control panel installation, cloud platform configuration, alert setup, testing, commissioning, user training, and technical documentation.
PumpSense is engineered and supported locally in Malaysia, providing a scalable monitoring solution for improving pump reliability, maintenance planning, operational accountability, and flood preparedness.
