The Program Penggunaan Barangan dan Perkhidmatan R&D Tempatan (MySTI) continues to gain momentum, engaging officers from the Kementerian Perladangan dan Komoditi (KPK) on Wednesday, 4 February at PICC, and the Kementerian Sumber Manusia (KESUMA) on Thursday, 5 February at Royal Park Hotel @ UNITEN.
The sessions highlighted how MySTI turns government procurement into a tool for local innovation and national development. Every procurement decision is an opportunity to strengthen Malaysian capabilities, empower local talent, and boost confidence in homegrown solutions.
Briefings by MRANTI, MOSTI, MTDC, and MOF guided participants through the MySTI framework, nomination processes, and PK 1.4 procurement, showing practical ways to adopt MySTI-certified products. The mapping of local solutions against agency needs reinforced that Malaysian innovations are ready, relevant, and capable of supporting government operations.
At its core, MySTI reflects a strong national conviction: Malaysia must believe in its own innovations. By prioritising MySTI-certified products, KPK and KESUMA go beyond procurement, investing in local talent, strengthening self-reliance, and positioning Malaysian solutions at the forefront of government delivery. When procurement aligns with innovation, it becomes a catalyst for progress and national pride.
