Aedestech Mosquito Home System

Unlocking Public Sector Demand for Dengue Control Innovation with AedesTech

After receiving the MySTI logo certification, One Team Networks Sdn Bhd achieved a major breakthrough in entering the Malaysian government procurement ecosystem. Its AedesTech Mosquito Home System (AMHS®) quickly gained traction, demonstrating how a homegrown, R&D-driven innovation can achieve nationwide impact. This milestone reflects not only commercial success but also the credibility and recognition conferred by the MySTI certification.
Within a short span, the AMHS® product was procured by almost every level of health administration across the country — from Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri to Pejabat Kesihatan Daerah, as well as by local authorities and research institutions. Key clients secured following the MySTI certification include:
Pejabat Kesihatan Daerah Melaka Tengah, Seberang Perai Utara, Alor Gajah, Kuala Muda, Putrajaya, Johor Bahru, Kerian, Titiwangsa, Kinta, Hulu Selangor, Gombak, Cheras, Klang, Kuala Selangor, Barat Daya, Hilir Perak; Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri Selangor, Pulau Pinang, Johor, Kelantan; Majlis Bandaraya Johor Bahru, Majlis Perbandaran Sibu, Selayang, Kuala Langat; and the Institute for Medical Research, among many others.
This penetration into government procurement validated the national relevance of AMHS® — aligning with health, science, and innovation priorities related to vector control and dengue mitigation.

From Local R&D to National Adoption

Founded in 2013, One Team Networks Sdn Bhd is a Malaysian innovation-driven company specialising in mosquito control solutions. Certified under ISO 9001:2015 (QMS), the company has long focused on transforming scientific research into scalable, eco-engineered mosquito control products.

Its flagship MySTI-certified innovation, the AedesTech Mosquito Home System (AMHS®), adopts a green, intelligent, and non-chemical strategy to reduce Aedes populations. By mimicking attractive water sources, it targets mosquitoes across all life stages without disturbing beneficial insects or the environment — making it a sustainable alternative to conventional fogging or larviciding methods.

Overcoming Systemic Barriers with MySTI

Despite proven scientific merit, AMHS® initially faced two common challenges encountered by Malaysian innovators seeking entry into government procurement:

1.    Competition against foreign technologies
2.    “Approved and used before” bias, where new solutions are perceived as riskier

The MySTI certification became a national validation mechanism — affirming that AMHS® is a genuine Malaysian R&D output aligned with government innovation standards and procurement policies. This credibility shift enabled One Team Networks to overcome legacy product biases and compete on merit, science, and national value creation.

Growing Impact & Partnerships

Following its public procurement uptake, AMHS® has been implemented across Malaysia, demonstrating significant operational and research impact:

✔ Supplied to nearly all Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri (JKN) and Pejabat Kesihatan Daerah (PKD) nationwide
✔ Ongoing application project with JKN Selangor and Universiti Malaya across three districts
✔ Completed demonstration project with MOSTI, Majlis Daerah Tanjong Malim, PKD Muallim, UPM and KRT Behrang 2020 for community-scale implementation

A Malaysian Innovation Winning at Home & Abroad

Over the years, AMHS® and One Team Networks have accumulated significant national and international recognition, including:

●    Winner, Dengue Tech Challenge 2016, United Kingdom Newton-Ungku Omar Fund
●    Recognised under High Impact Programme 2 (HIP2), SME Corp Malaysia (2017)
●    Winner, Organisational Excellence Award 2021, Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC)
●    Grand Prize Winner, Research & Business Partnership Category, Malaysia Commercialisation Year (MCY 2021), MOSTI
●    Selected in Malaysia Innovates 2022 publication by EPU & UNDP

Strengthening National Innovation Through Government Procurement

One Team Networks’ journey illustrates how the MySTI logo and certification bridge the commercialisation gap for Malaysian R&D products. By enabling a science-based innovation to gain trust, visibility, and procurement access across government agencies, MySTI plays a catalytic role in strengthening domestic innovation capabilities while addressing national health priorities such as dengue control.
AMHS is now a proven case of how local innovations, once equipped with validation and procurement pathways, can scale from laboratory concepts to real-world national impact.
