SEPANG – The Procurement Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) recently organized the "2026 Procurement Specification Fulfillment Workshop for ICT, Technical, and General Procurement" at Holiday Inn Sepang on February 12, 2026. This strategic workshop was attended by procurement officers from various departments and agencies under KDN to enhance efficiency in tender specification preparation. The initiative aims to ensure that every procurement for national security agencies not only meets operational requirements but also aligns with the agenda of empowering local industries through the enforcement of the latest government policies.
The workshop's primary focus was a specialized briefing on the enforcement of the MySTI Policy under Treasury Circular (PP/PK 1.4) regarding the Policy on Local Materials, Goods, and Services in Government Procurement. This session detailed the implementation methods of MySTI in preparing technical specifications and transparent evaluation criteria to prioritize local innovation within the ICT and technical sectors.
The strategic adoption of local innovative goods not only reduces reliance on foreign technology but also drives technology transfer and the growth of the domestic R&D industry. This ongoing effort underscores MySTI's commitment as a key facilitator in ensuring that home-grown innovations become the preferred choice in strengthening the government's service delivery system.
