MySTI Strengthens Cross-Sector Strategic Networking at KIS 2025

KUALA LUMPUR – The MySTI team under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) successfully participated in the 2025 Social Innovation Convention (KIS 2025), held at GMBB Mall, Bukit Bintang, from October 16 to 18, 2025. Organized by the STI Culturisation and Services Division (PSTI) in collaboration with the Malaysian Innovation Foundation (YIM), this event served as a vital meeting point for state government representatives, universities, foundations, and private companies to explore technological solutions for contemporary social challenges.

Through the MySTI exhibition booth, university researchers and innovators received in-depth exposure to R&D commercialization procedures and R&D&C&I funding opportunities. These consultation sessions assisted private companies and startups in understanding the MySTI product registration mechanism to effectively penetrate the government procurement market. Additionally, the National Technology and Innovation Sandbox (NTIS) initiative was highlighted to facilitate the technology transfer process from the prototype stage to practical community applications.

MySTI’s involvement in this convention underscores MOSTI’s commitment as a primary facilitator in connecting local talent with strategic investors and policymakers. By empowering an inclusive STI ecosystem, MySTI is determined to ensure that innovations with high social impact are sustainably commercialized. This effort not only supports the economic growth of local companies but also strengthens national technological sovereignty through the utilization of high-quality, homegrown innovative products and services.
