KOTA BHARU – The MySTI initiative participated in the Launching Ceremony of the Kelantan State Smart City Blueprint 2040, held at the Auditorium Hall of the National Department for Culture and Arts (JKKN) Kelantan on October 29, 2025. The event, themed "Smart Kelantan Catalyst: From Blueprint to Community," was officiated by the Honorable Dato' Panglima Perang Ustaz Dato' Haji Mohd Nassurudin bin Haji Daud, the Menteri Besar of Kelantan. MySTI's participation as a key exhibitor aimed to highlight the role of local research and development (R&D) technology in realizing a sustainable and livable smart city vision for the people of Kelantan.
Through the MySTI exhibition booth, visitors and urban planners were introduced to various local innovative goods and services ready for integration into the smart city ecosystem. The innovation display focused on demonstrating that local R&D products possess technical capabilities comparable to global technologies in supporting Smart Governance, Smart Living, and Smart Environment components. Interaction sessions at the booth also emphasized technology transfer and the commercialization of homegrown innovations to ensure that smart infrastructure development in Kelantan fully utilizes domestic expertise.
The successful participation in this blueprint launch strengthens MySTI's role as a facilitator in connecting local innovators with state government development needs. By prioritizing MySTI products, the government can not only accelerate the community's digital transformation but also drive local economic growth by supporting the national STI industry. This ongoing effort is a strategic step toward building a more sovereign smart city future, where local technology serves as the backbone for improving the community's quality of life in line with the Malaysia Madani aspirations.
